چکیده

1. Introduction The data collected during an MRI experiment is the spatial frequency information of the proton density of the object being imaged. The data space is referred to as k-space and is related to the image of the object through a Fourier transform relationship. When a Cartesian trajectory is used to traverse k-space, data are acquired on equally spaced grid points in k-space and a fast algorithm, the Fast Fourier Transform algorithm (FFT), can be used to reconstruct images from the data.

Reconstruction of Arbitrary Non-Cartesian Trajectories using Pseudo-Cartesian GRAPPA in Conjunction with GRAPPA Operator Gridding (GROG)

Introduction: The recently introduced GRAPPA Operator Gridder (GROG) [1] has been shown to be useful for the regridding of fully-sampled non-Cartesian data. However, GROG can also be used to properly regrid undersampled non-Cartesian data, which cannot be performed with other common regridding schemes, such as the gold-standard convolution-based gridding [2]. GROG has the advantage that single ...

Advances in sensitivity encoding with arbitrary k-space trajectories.

New, efficient reconstruction procedures are proposed for sensitivity encoding (SENSE) with arbitrary k-space trajectories. The presented methods combine gridding principles with so-called conjugate-gradient iteration. In this fashion, the bulk of the work of reconstruction can be performed by fast Fourier transform (FFT), reducing the complexity of data processing to the same order of magnitud...

Radial k-t FOCUSS for high-resolution cardiac cine MRI.

A compressed sensing dynamic MR technique called k-t FOCUSS (k-t FOCal Underdetermined System Solver) has been recently proposed. It outperforms the conventional k-t BLAST/SENSE (Broad-use Linear Acquisition Speed-up Technique/SENSitivity Encoding) technique by exploiting the sparsity of x-f signals. This paper applies this idea to radial trajectories for high-resolution cardiac cine imaging. R...

k-t BLAST reconstruction from non-Cartesian k-t space sampling.

Current implementations of k-t Broad-use Linear Acqusition Speed-up Technique (BLAST) require the sampling in k-t space to conform to a lattice. To permit the use of k-t BLAST with non-Cartesian sampling, an iterative reconstruction approach is proposed in this work. This method, which is based on the conjugate gradient (CG) method and gridding reconstruction principles, can efficiently handle ...

Reconstruction of Non-Cartesian k-Space Data

MRI is an unusual medical imaging modality in that the raw data used to form an image can be collected in an infinite number of ways. While conventional Cartesian k-space scanning is by far the most common scanning method, non-Cartesian approaches have shown promise for rapid imaging, motion robustness, ultrashort TE imaging, rapid spectroscopic imaging, and other applications. A key component ...
